HOW TO WEAR THE TREND: SPRING PASTELS & FLORALS

The weather has FINALLY warmed up enough so that we can tuck away our knits to make room for fresh new pieces. As you have seen in our Spring 2014 trends, there were tons of pretty pastels, sports-inspired looks, florals, lace, transparency and tons of midrift-baring outfits.

The beautiful thing about a colour trend, is you can wear it in any shape that best suits your body. You can incorporate it in jewelry, a dress or top.

If you’re rocking a beautiful, printed floral piece from your closet, like a Ted Baker jacket, you can incorporate the pastel trend easily. Here are a few fabulous combinations.

If you like to add a little sporty-glam to your look, go for a pastel coloured dress in the shape you desire. If you don’t want to wear a dress, a pastel coloured top with white linen pants, paired with a metallic shoe and textured bag would also be perfect.

Pastels can add a great pop of colour. We really love the T by Alexader Wang skirt and the cute crop top. A great way to complete the outfit is to tie in great accessories. The floral Ted Baker bag, colourful pastel bangles you can buy at River Island and a fantastic metallic shoe by Calvin Klein!

A great way to wear florals is to break up the bold pattern with solid pieces in the same colour palette. Here, you can break up the floral jacket by Ted Baker with two pastel colours.
