Ted Baker Takes the Lead: Autumn/Winter/Holiday Preview
Toronto-based PR company Faulhaber hosts a pop-up preview of the much anticipated autumn/winter/holiday 2014 collections by Ted Baker. As the theme for Ted Baker’s newest collections, “Take the Lead” circle around the beauty of dance, the Danceology Studio on E Liberty Street proved an ideal setting.
The dance studio resembled a European-style walk through the park, displaying the clothing racks of Ted’s beautiful creations alongside quaint outdoor cafe seating and tables, as two dancers practiced and pranced before the studio mirror. Viewers were treated to guided tours of each collection, fresh late summer hors d’oeuvres, and sparkling drinks and juices. As the crowd grew, the dancers offered a quick lyrical dance tutorial.
The Collections
Ted’s luxurious classic style with a modern twist displayed 4 main colour stories for this AW14 season:
1. Pretty pastels accented with bright green, electric coral and canary yellow
2. Cyber blues, blacks, and fuchsias
3. Autumnal reds, burgundies, and burnt oranges, along with hot pinks and acid yellows
4. Rich dark earth tones with hints of cream, emerald green, navy blue and cardinal red
Textures and materials include neoprene, furs, embossed snakeskin, knits, jacquards, and leathers.
The holiday collection integrated most of these colour stories, but distinguished itself with sequins, shimmer and shine.
Bags & Accessories
Structured and streamlined with clean edges and sleek curves, the bags, scarves, gloves and even the occasional umbrella came in a variety of matching patterns from the various AW14 collections, along with matte jewel tones and animal prints. A variety of details and embellishments include colour and print blocking, chunky and pinhole crystals, sleek horse hair, tassels, rivets and golden accents.
Swag Bag
As a lovely parting gift, guests were treated to a fabulous Ted Baker London Swag Bag! Cheers to Ted Baker, it was a lovely dance! Looking forward to seeing your AW14 creations in stores this season!
