Valentino Couture and Giambattista presented their Fall/Winter 2013 Couture collections with fresh, dewy faces and soft peach cheekbones. Other designers, including Balenciaga and Balmain opted for a fresh, bare faces and little colour.

TREND #2: Wine and Merlot Lips
Red lips continue into fall this season. This season, opt for a deep merlot or burnt cinnamon, as though you’ve had a full glass of red wine. Models in runway shows of Derek Lam, Vera Wang, Marni, 3.1 Phillip Lim and Nina Ricci feautured beautiful, glamorous red lip, while Rachel Zoe and Christian Dior opted for red lips that featured a deep colour that faded out towards the edge.

TREND #3: Playing up a Smoky Eye
Anna Sui really played up the eyes for this coming season. Notice that a number of designers are focusing on playing up the bottom liner more this season, including Altuzarra.

Jason Wu, Chanel and Donna Karan added a playful sparkle to their model’s eyes this season. Dior brought a little futuristic touch by adding silver liner to the face of his beauties this season.
