Matthew Gallagher returns to World MasterCard Fashion Week as the 2014 Cayman Islands Stylemaker
Selected as the designer to close Fall/Winter 2014 World Mastercard Fashion Week (WMCFW) in Toronto, Matthew Gallagher will also present his latest collection as the 2014 Caymen Island Stylemaker – a new, innovative recognition program announced by the Caribbean destination, supporting emerging talent in fields of culinary, fashion, art, style and interior design that reflect the cosmopolitan way of living in the Caymen Islands.
“Being selected as the Cayman Islands Stylemaker has been an amazing experience for me both personally, and for the growth of MG,” says Matthew Gallagher. “When I visited the destination, I fell in love with Cayman life and the sense of style and sophistication that goes with it. This recognition program has served as a source of inspiration for me as well as further exposed my brand to the luxury market. I’m very excited to be given the opportunity this season to be the closing show at World MasterCard Fashion Week under the Cayman Islands Stylemaker program.”
It’s easy to be swept away by the stunning pastel colours, luxurious fabrics and luxurious cuts from Matthew Gallagher’s Spring/Summer 2014 Collection. His designs show a very fun, vibrant, sophisticated style that reflects a fabulous, cosmopolitan lifestyle. Inspired by the romantic and sophisticated lifestyle of those of the Caymen Islands, Matthew Gallagher is set to present a new collection with a darker colour palette and strong point of view.
“This latest collection will be a beautifully dark harmony between the Edwardian and Victorian periods, enveloped by modern vision says the designer.”
