After a whirlwind of the first-ever New York Fashion Week for Men, MRKet week went underway to showcase a wide selection of apparel and accessories, ranging from pop-culture cufflinks, sleek Italian leather bags, wildly coloured socks, bright swim trunks and jackets with bold prints and vibrant colours.
Here is what you can expect to see trending in-stores for menswear for Spring/Summer 2016.
Pop Culture & Light-Hearted Holiday Heros On the Rise, but Classic Stripes Remain Top Sellers
While passing through the lanes, I couldn’t help notice the huge selection of contrasting prints & colours at British Apparel. With J.M Dickenson, Punto, and Robert Graham as some of the named brands, you can find the usual classics – solids, stripes and argyle within the mix of comics, rabbits, elephants and prints and cartoons in justaposition.
Similar to Saxx Underwear, the stripes are the top sellers, but there is a huge demand for fun colors, bolder prints and better fabrics.
It’s In the Details
Women always notice the minute details, so obviously creative or fun cufflinks would catch any woman’s eye. Cufflinks Inc. is licensed to sell Disney, Star Wars, NFL and simple, fun and classic pieces that are a piece of arm candy – no pun intended.
Bright and Unapologetic
Swimwear is where a lot of guys really get to have a lot of fun. Pat and Can gets it right with their SS16 Collection. Featuring blues, yellows and greens, the guys will have plenty of colors and prints to choose from.
The Fun Lifestyle We All Strive For
Galet was the winner of best display in our eyes. They had the sweetest orange truck. If only everyone could get a cool, retro-looking mini-bus sent their way for lunch, we all might add a extra hop and skip in our step on our way back to our usual work day.
