Joe Zee to Host the 2nd Annual Canadian Arts & Fashion Awards
Joe Zee is set to return to his hometown of Toronto, Canada to host the Canadian Arts & Fashion Awards. The internationally acclaimed editor-in-chief and executive creative officer of Yahoo Style has built his experience and name over the years as an acclaimed stylist, fashion journalist and producer, working for well-known publications, media outlets and event stylist for celebrities such as Sarah Jessica Parker and Jennifer Lopez.
Zee’s career spans over two decades, with credits including fashion director for W Magazine and creative director of Elle.
Founders of Roots, Michael Budman and Don Green, have also been named co-chairs this year. With over 225 locations across Canada, Asia and the United States, their international growth makes them a perfect fit for CAFA.
“CAFA is starting a movement in Canada and creating a platform for the future of Canadian fashion,” says Zee. “I’m so honoured to be a part of this amazing event that recognizes exceptional Canadian fashion and design talent here in Canada and around the world.”
At this year’s gala, Zee will be honoured with the Vanguard Award for his significant contributions to the fashion industry throughout his career.
This year, the CAFA nominees include Erdem, Smythe, Steven Tai, The Coveteur, Beaufille, Frank & Oak, Greta Constantine, Tommy Ton and many more.
Some of the sponsors this year include Porter Airlines and Swarovski, so this will be a glitzy, star-filled red-carpet event at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel on Jan 31st.
The CAFA Gala starts at 6PM. Doors open for Sephora After Party at 9PM. For more information, or to purchase tickets, click here.
